Oak Hill Area FSC | Help for Seniors, Veterans, and Residents with Low Incomes

A sign reads "DEFENSIBLE SPACE IS SENSIBLE SPACE 100 FT. MAY SAVE YOUR HOME," promoting wildfire safety.

Defensible Space Assistance for Seniors, Veterans, and Low-Income Residents

Are you a veteran,  senior over 60, or have a low income? Do you need help with creating defensible space for your home?

The El Dorado County Fire Safe Council can provide help through a generous grant from PG&E for clearing vegetation for qualified veterans, seniors, and people with low-incomes who are enrolled in PG&E CARE or FERA programs or HEAP.

Applicants must be challenged with limited resources and/or physically unable to develop defensible space around their homes. Please see the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council website for more details.

NOTICE:  This program is again being made available to many of our Oak Hill area applicants.  Participation in this program is voluntary and at no cost to the applicant.
