Proposed fuel reduction zone was about .75 miles long located between Crystal Blvd. and SR 49. Estimated acreage was 18 acres.

The project was completed by California Conservation Corps crews using chain saws and pole saws. All cut material was dragged to the two access points on either end of the project and chipped.

Cost:

  • Logtown Fire Safe Council: $1,000 for CCC staff overtime & “spike”
  • El Dorado County Fire Safe Council: $ TBD NOE, Flagging, Mapping & Measuring
  • California Conservation Corps: $58,182 donated time by CCC using SRA funding from the Fire Fee
